Agencies marked Verified have been checked against four things: that the business trades under the name given, that its contact details resolve to it, that the services claimed match demonstrable work, and that the stated minimum budget reflects real engagements. The others are listed from their own websites and have not been checked yet.
Listings are ordered by membership placement, then by OAN Score. Membership does not affect the score itself. Tier is not one of its inputs, so placement cannot buy a better number. Read the full method.

What is a B2B Marketing agency?
A B2B marketing agency markets one business’s products or services to other businesses. The buyer is a company, not a person: the decision usually involves several people, takes weeks or months, and ends in a sale handled by a sales team. So the agency’s job reaches past awareness to the point where a sales conversation starts. It plans which companies and which roles to reach, builds the content and campaigns that reach them, and hands the interested ones to sales.
Because the work depends on contacting named people at named companies, the rules on direct marketing apply even though the recipient is a business. In the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office says data protection law applies whenever you hold the name of a business contact. Its rules on email depend on the kind of business the contact works for. In the US, the Federal Trade Commission says its commercial email law makes no exception for business-to-business email.

What B2B Marketing costs
B2B marketing is usually a monthly retainer, sometimes with a fixed set-up fee for strategy, tracking and tooling. Three things move the fee: how many channels run at once, how many target accounts or roles are worked, and how much content is produced each month. Media spend, data subscriptions and software are separate costs, so ask whether they pass through at cost and who holds the accounts.
Ask what counts as a lead before you compare quotes. A form fill, a lead that marketing has qualified and a lead that sales has accepted are three different things, and a fee per lead means whichever the agency chose. Agree the definition with your sales team and write it into the contract. Ask who owns the contact database and the CRM when the contract ends, and read the guide to agency contracts for handover terms.
How to choose a B2B Marketing agency
Choose a B2B marketing agency by how well it understands your sale and how lawfully it will reach buyers. SEO and PPC marketing are channels, and a B2B agency chooses among them, along with email, events and content, according to how your buyers research. If a long sales cycle means the first sale is months away, ask what the agency will report in the meantime that you can trust.
Three questions separate agencies. How will you find the contacts, and which of them will you email or call without a prior relationship? Who decides when a lead is ready for sales, and on what evidence? And what would the agency stop doing first if the results were flat? An agency that cannot say how it will lawfully contact people, in your country and theirs, is asking you to carry the risk.
Common questions about B2B Marketing agencies
Can an agency email businesses it has not met?
Sometimes. In the UK the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations do not require consent to email a company. The sender must still not hide its identity and must give a valid opt-out address. Sole traders and some partnerships count as individuals and need consent or a soft opt-in. In the US the FTC says its commercial email law has no business exception.
Does data protection law apply to business contacts?
Yes, whenever the contact is a named person. The UK Information Commissioner’s Office says an email address that identifies someone is personal data, even when they act for their employer. The sender then needs a lawful basis and must respect the right to object to marketing. A generic address such as an IT department mailbox does not identify a person.
What should I check before an agency makes cold calls?
Ask how it screens its list. In the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office says a caller making live business calls must screen numbers against both the Telephone Preference Service and the Corporate Telephone Preference Service. It must also screen against its own list of people who objected. The caller must say who is calling and show a number.
What is a marketing-qualified lead?
It is whatever you and the agency agree it is, which is why the definition belongs in the contract. A common arrangement is that marketing qualifies a lead against criteria set with sales, such as company size, role and a stated need, and sales then accepts or rejects it. Ask to see rejected leads as well as accepted ones.
Who should own the contact data and the CRM?
You should, whenever the contacts are your prospects. Set up the CRM and the marketing tools in your company’s name and give the agency user access, so that a change of agency does not mean rebuilding the database. If the agency’s own tools hold your data, ask for the right to export it in a usable format at any time.
