Microsoft Clarity is a behaviour analytics tool. A snippet on a site or app records sessions, so a person can watch how users move through a page, and draws heatmaps of clicks and scrolling. It flags rage clicks and dead clicks. The vendor has added AI summaries of sessions and heatmaps, a chat over the data, and tracking of when AI services cite a brand.
What agencies use Microsoft Clarity for
The pages read include no page for agencies, so this section keeps to the product’s own descriptions. Recordings and heatmaps show where visitors stall on a client’s page, and the vendor lists rage and dead click insights and 40 or more segmentation filters to narrow a view.
It connects to Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, so an agency can see recordings, heatmaps and insights for the visitors from a client’s paid campaigns. It also connects to Google Analytics, so recordings can be opened for a Google Analytics segment.
Microsoft Clarity pricing
Clarity is free. The vendor’s pricing page says it is free forever, with all features at no cost, and that there are no traffic limits and no forced upgrade to a paid version. Unlimited heatmaps, websites and team members are included, and there is no paid plan to list.
The vendor says it can offer Clarity free because Microsoft builds it. Microsoft processes anonymous behaviour data to improve its own products and machine learning models. The vendor says it will never share the data with third parties.
What it connects to
The integrations page lists Microsoft Ads, Google Ads and Google Analytics, the testing tools AB Tasty, Kameleoon and Optimizely, Zapier and HubSpot. To install Clarity, it lists Google Tag Manager, Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, WooCommerce plugins, Joomla and others.
Limits to know before you buy
The vendor states that Microsoft uses anonymous behaviour data from Clarity to improve its products and models. An agency adding the snippet to a client’s site may want to tell the client. The vendor describes the tool as GDPR and CCPA ready.
The pages read did not state how long recordings are kept or what happens to very high traffic volumes; the vendor says it sets no traffic limit.
Plans and prices as published on the vendor’s own pricing page on 3 October 2026; check there before you buy. This is not a paid listing and Online Agency Network is not affiliated with the vendor.
