  • Bloom

    Bloom

Bloom says it began in 2007 as a boutique paid search agency, bootstrapped from two laptops, and now has more than 75 digital specialists working out of Montréal and Toronto. Its Toronto page says the agency grew from its roots in Montréal. It adds that the Toronto office is the newer one, opened to run national campaigns in English and French. The footer of its case study pages also lists a New York address. It says it is independent and not affiliated with any international media group.

The service list is organised into six groups. Performance media covers Google and Bing search, paid social on Meta, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube, programmatic and display, Amazon, digital out-of-home, media planning and affiliate marketing, which it says runs on a pay-per-sale basis. SEO and GEO covers search optimisation, AI visibility and audits. Social and influencer work covers management, content and creator partnerships. The remaining groups are strategy, data and analytics, and creative with email on Klaviyo and Mailchimp.

Two house methods are named. ABX, for Action-Based Execution, is a recurring meeting where SEO, strategy, account and paid media staff rank tactics by impact, confidence and ease. The BOREAL framework is its method for brand acceleration, which runs from brand through objectives, reach, engagement and action to learnings. A blog post introduces Polaris, a media mix modelling tool the agency says it built itself.

On credentials, the site says Bloom is a Google Premier Partner for 2026, a status it puts at 3% of Canadian partners, and a Microsoft and Meta partner. It also says it ranked on the Globe and Mail’s list of Canada’s top growing companies four years running and is one of Canada’s Great Places to Work.

The case studies page lists dozens of results. For Specialized Canada, which had sold only through dealers, it reports online sales up 159% year on year over two months, a return on ad spend above 7x on Performance Max and Meta conversions up 775% a week. Other headlines include 14x return on ad spend from an affiliate programme for Polysleep and 3 million organic TikTok views in under three months.

No prices or minimum budgets are published, and the proposal form asks for a brief. Ask which office would run your account, whether work in French is done in-house, and how the pay-per-sale affiliate model is billed against the management fee.

  • Courageous

    Courageous

Courageous says it has provided website design, ecommerce, marketplace integration and growth strategy since 2007, and describes itself as a five-star rated agency in Ancoats, Manchester, with a second office in Newcastle. Its site says its founder has worked in the sector since 1999. It aims at established businesses and states that it recommends the solution that fits the client and not the one that suits the agency.

The services page lists four groups. Business website design builds WordPress sites for firms wanting enquiries and sales. Ecommerce covers Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento and WooCommerce stores, and a separate group manages eBay and Amazon marketplaces. Digital marketing is built around email marketing, to turn customers into repeat customers, and around SEO, and the newest group covers AI, helping firms automate processes. Support is sold under a contract it calls RockSolid, and a page is aimed at American clients. A blog post from October 2026 explains how to get a Shopify store ready for AI agents that check out.

Portfolio pages carry a few figures. A website relaunch for Procure Partnerships is reported with a 22% rise in new users in the first three months, another relaunch with a 320% rise in new users over the first 12 months, and the consolidation of two Magento 2 stores into one Shopify store with 25% year-on-year growth in net sales. Other projects include a headless Strapi website for an international wellbeing brand and a website for a football foundation’s soccer schools. The agency says it has only ever been rated five stars on Google, Trustpilot and Facebook, and lists Manchester website design agency awards for 2022 to 2024.

No prices, rates or contract lengths are published on the pages read. Ask what a rebuild like the Magento to Shopify consolidation costs, what RockSolid support includes, and whether the Newcastle or Manchester team would run the work.

  • RiseUp

    RiseUp

RiseUp says it began in 2013 as Global Search Marketing and rebranded as RiseUp in 2025, with the same team and clients. It calls itself an AI-first growth agency and runs four teams from its head office at Alpha Tower in Birmingham: performance, creative, web and data. It says senior people do the work with no junior account layer, that it reports on revenue, margin and customer acquisition cost, and that it has driven more than £750 million of client revenue, which is its own figure.

Performance covers paid search, paid social, advertising inside ChatGPT, AI search and SEO, Amazon ads and email automation, with separate pages for Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Shopify. Creative covers branding, content, digital PR, organic social and motion. Web covers Shopify and web design, conversion work, apps and AI integration. Data covers dashboards, attribution and reporting. A page on how it uses AI is part of the pitch, and its pages for Birmingham, Worcester, London and Manchester treat local search separately.

Its paid search page says most of the brands it works with spend £10,000 to £500,000 a month on paid search, with Google usually taking the largest share, and it offers a free audit that starts with a form asking for a monthly paid search budget in bands from under £10,000 to £500,000 and over. The contact page asks for annual turnover in bands from under £1 million to £50 million and over. No fees, minimum budget or contract terms are published.

Case studies carry figures. Micro Scooters is reported with 3.4 times direct-to-consumer revenue, Chummy’s Bakery with 212% and Jean Store with 570% ecommerce growth. For two online pharmacies it reports 3.1 times organic revenue over 12 months, with non-brand organic clicks up 186% on condition and treatment terms. The site says it was a winner at the Global Search Awards 2026 and a finalist at several others, and that it won Netty Awards in 2025, all as its own statements.

Ask what the minimum monthly budget is for the audit to lead to a retainer, what the fee is as a share of spend, and who the named strategist on your account would be.

  • Wpromote

    Wpromote

Wpromote is an independent marketing agency that says it launched in 2001. Its address is on Continental Boulevard in El Segundo, near Los Angeles, and its contact form also lists Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Manhattan, New York, San Francisco and remote as locations. It says it acquired the creative agency Giant Spoon, whose strategy, creative and experiential work now sits inside it.

Its services are grouped as media, creative, data and strategy. Media lists paid search, paid social, influencer, connected TV, programmatic, SEO, retail media, affiliate, email and lifecycle, and AI search. AI search is a service of its own, covering onsite changes, off-site content and a tracker that reports how often a brand appears in answers across about 300 prompts. A measurement framework it calls the Care Index scores brand connection in three stages. Its own platform, Polaris IQ, joins reporting and creative testing.

Industry pages cover financial services, retail and ecommerce, travel and hospitality, health and wellness, technology and B2B. The partners page says it is a Google Premier Partner, a Microsoft Elite Partner, a Meta Business Partner, an Amazon Ads Advanced Partner and a Walmart Connect partner. Its awards page lists Ad Age’s Performance Agency of the Year and a Digiday award for its Intuit QuickBooks search work.

No prices are published. The contact form asks for an annual marketing budget. Its options are $5 to $10 million, $10 to $25 million, $25 million and over, or other. No minimum is stated. Ask what the smallest engagement is, how fees relate to media spend, and who owns the Polaris IQ data and dashboards if you leave.

  • Hawke Media

    Hawke Media

Hawke Media is a marketing agency that says it was founded in 2014 and has offices in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. It describes itself as an outsourced CMO, meaning an in-house-style marketing lead backed by agency resources. Its about page says it has grown more than 5,000 brands across more than 70 categories, which is its own count.

Its services page says every service is available a la carte. The list covers strategy, paid search, paid social, SEO, and generative and answer engine optimisation. It adds social media, content, branding, web design, email, affiliate and Amazon. It also lists connected TV, out of home, public relations, photo and video, and custom print. Paid search offers starter packages for ecommerce and lead generation and a three-week set-up phase. It also names an analytics platform it calls Hawke AI.

The acquisitions page says it has integrated 22 agencies, and that it also runs a venture fund for early-stage consumer companies and a revenue-based financing product for its client brands. Ask whether any of those arms have a stake in your business or your category. Its case studies include The Getty Store, Crocs, Barstool Sports, Funko and Lorna Jane, with results the agency reports itself, such as a 99.1% year-on-year revenue rise for The Getty Store.

No prices or minimum budgets are published. The paid search page names a company revenue size it speaks to, but gives no fee. Ask what each service costs alone, whether there is a minimum term, and how work is shared across the acquired studios.

  • Loom Digital

    Loom Digital

Loom Digital is a Bristol digital marketing agency, founded in 2009 as an SEO and pay-per-click business that was then called Digirank. It says it now has 20 specialists in four teams, and that it is B Corp certified, with a score of 85.5 in 2024. Its pitch is marketing for what it calls complex businesses: niche markets, several audiences and locations, and long sales cycles.

Its services page lists paid media, SEO, generative engine optimisation, content, data and analytics, conversion rate optimisation and consultancy. Paid media covers Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest and programmatic. Its method is called ClearThread, in three stages: a mapping audit, a single strategy, and a managed marketing system with a six-month checkpoint and an annual review. It also sells a fixed-cost Data and Analytics Sprint, delivered within two months of sign-off.

Sector pages cover construction, education, professional services and group marketing networks such as franchises. The professional services page names law firms, accountancy practices and consultancies. Its case studies report its own figures. • The Lane Agency

    The Lane Agency

Lane splits its work into three groups: creative, media and digital. The Edinburgh agency, founded in 2008, runs paid media through a media arm it calls Lane Media, and says it has brought media back together with creative and digital. Its news says Lane is now employee-owned.

Creative covers campaign ideas, brand creation and content strategy. The media pages list planning and strategy, media buying, paid search and paid shopping, and paid social from TikTok to LinkedIn. They also list programmatic, out of home, audio, television, retail media, Amazon advertising and Google Ad Grants. Digital covers website design, Shopify and ecommerce builds, conversion rate optimisation, SEO, and analytics.

Its work page is heavy on charities and food and drink brands. They include Myeloma UK, the Scottish SPCA, Scottish Autism, Border biscuits, Taylors Snacks and Fairfax & Favor. Case studies report their own numbers. One reports 88% year-on-year sales growth for Fairfax & Favor on paid social, and another a projected £1.14 million for the Scottish SPCA from a winter campaign.

No price list or minimum budget is published, and the contact page did not load as text. The paid social FAQ says ad costs are charged per click or per thousand impressions and budgets can be scaled at any time. Ask what Lane charges on top of media, how long a contract runs, and how much notice it needs.

Croud is an independent media, creative and data agency, founded in London in 2011. It has five offices, among them London, New York, Atlanta and Dubai. It says it was Campaign Global’s Independent Media Agency of the Year in 2025. Its pitch is what it calls Return on Intelligence, meaning brand strategy, media, social, creative and data work on one platform.

Staffing is its distinctive feature. The agency says it has 600 or more in-house staff and a network of around 2,900 on-demand specialists it calls Croudies, working across 118 markets and 86 languages. It says about 40% of client work is delivered through that network, and that its own platform, CroudOS, matches people to tasks.
