Asana

Asana manages tasks, projects and approvals in lists, boards, timelines and portfolios. A free plan covers two users, and paid plans are priced per user.

Project Management

Asana is a tool for agencies in Project Management. Pricing: Free plan; paid from $10.99/user/mo billed yearly.

Asana is a work management platform. Work is organised as tasks inside projects, which can be viewed as a list, board, calendar, timeline or Gantt chart, and projects roll up into portfolios and goals. It adds automation, intake forms, reporting dashboards and AI features it calls AI Teammates and AI Studio.

What agencies use Asana for

Asana has a page for agencies, which it pitches at SEO and marketing agencies. It describes four jobs. One is managing client deadlines, with timelines and dependencies that shift when a date moves. Another is balancing resources, with a Workload view that sets capacity limits by hours, points or task count across client accounts.

The other two are client reporting, through branded dashboards, and tracking time and retainer budgets. Approvals and proofing, which annotate files and request sign-off, begin on the Advanced plan. Guests from a client can join without using a licence seat.

Asana pricing

Paid plans are priced per user, per month, in US dollars, and Asana says seats are added in steps that widen as the team grows.

Enterprise+ is also named on the pricing page. Plans can be cancelled at any time, and access to paid features lasts to the end of the period already paid. The vendor sells extra AI requests at $0.50 each in prepaid packs or $0.60 each on demand.

What it connects to

The vendor’s integrations page names Slack, Google Drive, Dropbox and Salesforce, among others, and filters apps by marketing and design, time tracking, sales and services, and IT and development. The Personal plan lists more than 100 free integrations. The Advanced plan adds connections to Salesforce, Tableau and Power BI, and the site describes connectors for AI tools through MCP.

Limits to know before you buy

Personal is for one or two people, so any agency team needs a paid plan. Workload, portfolios, goals, approvals and proofing, and native time tracking sit on Advanced, not Starter. Starter and Advanced include 5 AI requests per user a month, up to 50 for the account. AI Studio comes in Basic, Plus and Pro versions, and Pro is annual only.

Seats are added in steps of one up to five users, then in steps of five, ten, twenty-five and fifty as the team grows.

Plans and prices as published on the vendor’s own pricing page on 3 October 2026; check there before you buy. This is not a paid listing and Online Agency Network is not affiliated with the vendor.
